I haven't been asleep. I've actually been drawing. (Most of it winds up on tumblr first.
Follow me and feel the weirdness!) So, here are a bunch in one go.
Caught the Elementary pilot online and love it. Especially Jonny Lee Miller's wounded puppy of an ex-junkie, Sherlock. I know, I know there's a great bruhaha about Elementary vs. BBC's Sherlock going on. Especially on tumblr. But I don't care. I love them both. In fact, I love all things Sherlock. I don't want to separate the fandoms, I want to see how many Sherlocks I can crossover.
Like I want Moffat's Watson to secretly be a baseball fan and watch games with Elementary's Watson. Both of them driving the poor Sherlocks crazy.
I also love Miller's look for Sherlock. It's messy. Like clothing is the last thing on Holmes' mind when there is a murder to be solved.
The Doctor Who doodle is from this week's episode. Love how one moment Matt Smith can make the Doctor adorable and the next be terrifying in his anger.
Also saw Chronicle. Noy only is it one of my favorite movies this year, it has become one of my favorite movies period. Yes, I know it looks like another found footage movie but do yourself a favor and watch. It is so much more than that. Especially if you love character driven plots.
Andrew broke my heart. (I actually misted up in the end.)
Then there's Castiel in Claire's body. I liked the idea that for a brief moment Castiel was willing to run around and fight Demons in the body of a pre-teen. I think it would be fun if Castiel switched bodies every so often and we would get Jimmy Novak back.
There's Korra. People always forget that India is an influence in the Avatar show. (For Pete's sakes, it's in the title. Not to mention that was a Guru.) So, I drew Korra as having an Indian ethnicity rather than the Chinese, Korean, Japanese that most people do. I like the idea that in the world of Avatar, just like the animals are all hybrids (except for that bear. Weird) so are the people are an ethnic mixture of all the cultures that have influenced the show. So, yes, you have Chinese, Korean, Japanese and Inuit culture but you also have Indian, Mayan and Aztec as well. So, someone like Toph could look like a mix of Korean, Mayan and Inuit.
Drew Santigold. I love her music. If you are fan of Siouxsie and The Banshees and their off shoot, The Creatures, do yourself a favor and give Santigold a listen.
And last a Hobbit and Star Trek crossover. I could not pass the fact that Lee Pace and Zachary Quinto have to most epic eyebrows in genre films. Fantastic eyebrows.
And now, I am going to bed. Night!
I loved that you made them interact. ^^
...and the doctor drawing is amazing xD
But I think the way they've done it is really good! I love Sherlock, he's so adorable and you really do get the feeling he WOULD be lost without Watson! She takes on a mother figure, telling him when to shut up etc. It's a great take on the original stories. You can see them developing that close reliant bond with each other!
I personally am already shipping Joan/John. And I am not regretting anything so far.
Also Geroge is lovely!
